A fine  15 Jewel Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway pocket watch manufactured by the "American Waltham watch Co" and  in full working order

It is simply like a switch which when operates picks the electric lock and allows the signalman to operate the lever

The key end was originally  cut off by B

this example is believed to have been used on a Stevens frame where the catch release handle on the signal lever is of a different dimension

If not regular adjusted the signal would not display the correct OFF on ON indications to the driver. This example was for use on the later adjuster stands with a hexagonal fitting. Recovered from Norton Fitzwarren signal box by the signalman upon closure.
