Egyptian Revival Powder Compact Pendant signet rings with snakes in abundanceVery cool Egyptian Revival powder compact dating from the 1920s wave of Egyptomania that was sparked by the discovery, in 1922, of Tutankhamun's undisturbed tomb by the then relatively unknown English archaeologist Howard Carter and his (still) relatively unknown Egyptian workforce: Ahmed Gerigar, Gad Hassan, Hussein Abu Awad and Hussein Ahmed Said amongst countless others. The outside is beautifully decorated with colourful guilloch enamel. The front
