Description

Bamileke stools are traditionally only used by the Bamileke King of Cameroon during public ceremonies

Our Khaki Fever cushion is made with a linen blend textile in beautiful neutral hue and finished with a detailed stitched pattern and brown horn beads

before being gently restored and finished with a unique white stripe detail

The distinctive design of the tripod legs and bowl-shaped seats are typical to Guarage style

Hehe Stool 14 Bamileke stools are traditionally onlyOur Hehe stools have been hand carved from a single piece of hard wood by the Hehe people who live along the shores of Lake Nyasa in Tanzania. The low design of the stool suggests that the stool was made for practical purposes, such as milking cattle rather than ceremonial purposes. Each stool is a one of a kind vintage curation, whilst lovingly restored minor imperfections may occur.
