Description

I checked the sky in which the clouds were perfect this morning and would be a great addition to a colorful sunrise

the fog was still about and peaked my interest to find subjects that would help compliment the atmosphere that the fog brought to the landscape

A recent snowfall covers this beautiful winter riparian landscape scene with box elder trees catching the snow on their branches that line the banks of Eakin Creek West at Wildflower Park

A dusting of snow fell overnight as the soft light from the morning sun illuminates this frozen landscape with a honey locust tree lining the banks of a frozen Wildflower Lake

WATCHING THE WOODPECKERS TREES I checked the sky inAfter photographing the pair of red bellied woodpeckers, I notice a male downy woodpecker nearby probing the tree branches for insects. Sometimes these small woodpeckers can be difficult to photograph as they are quick and can be elusive when they are climbing the trees in search for insects. Fortunately, this male wasn't moving to quickly as I take a series of photographs of him moving slowly towards the outer branches of the tree at Wildflower Park.
