This is what you use when you're building a new shower from scratch on a new PVC drain rough in. The fleece covered bonding flange is the core of Schluter's drain waterproofing system. Your KERDI or DITRA membrane overlaps directly onto this flange and bonds into the same thin set mortar layer.
