It is blended from full bodied young red wines from the Cima Corgo area, then mellowed by several years of ageing in oak vats. A ripe, reserve ruby port, this fragrant wine shows lively, raspberry and red plum flavors and aromas leading into impression of figs and spice set in a luscious, mellow texture with sweet background tannins.
