Coral was something of a status symbol and was used to ward off evil spirits! Very tactile (almost impossible not to fiddle with!), great colour and beautifully mounted in gold. Age: c1850 but this one really could be + or 50 years or more. The gold fitting leads us to believe it's an early one Size and weight: 4. 58g 6cm long including bale, 1cm wide setting Materials: Natural pink coral. 9ct
