Bruno Heinen's The W - Mikrokosmos [CD] Polyvinyl Records "I didn't want to writeLondon based German pianist and composer Bruno Heinen draws on classical compositions of the twentieth century and the jazz tradition in his works. Heinen's work has been described by The Guardian as eclectic, eccentric, and unobtrusively sophisticated. This album is inspired by Bela Bartok's Mikrokosmos and uses cells and ideas from volume 6 of Bartok's work, as well as lyrics in the form of Bartok quotations, to create a new suite. Bruno Heinen's
