Domaine des Berthiers Pouilly-Fume 2017 Bottle:12 Fronholz is André’s quartz-dominant terroirPouilly Fume Domaine des Berthiers Jean Claude Dagueneau , smokey, crisp, classic Loire Valley Sauvignon. A fine example of the appellation, with rich, fruity, red apple and grapefruit flavours, backed up by smokiness and crisp acidity. The wine itself sees a short period of skin contact before being slowly cold fermented for 3 4 weeks. It is then aged on the fine lees to give the wine added richness and some of that distinctive smokiness.
