I was looking for some subjects to photograph along the trail with the sun illuminating those subjects when I came upon this Kentucky coffee tree being backlit with an orange glow from the morning sun

I stood up from where I was sitting on the log and took a couple last shots when I noticed two moose coming out from the pine forest and into the lake to feed on the vegetation

Many species of wildflowers were in prime conditions to photograph including these hoary vervain that were near the blazing star flowers and false sunflowers that I had just photographed

WHISPERS OF THE WINTER CREEK Size:10x15 METAL PRINT I was looking for someAfter receiving 2 3 inches of snow during the morning hours, I set out to photograph this recent snowfall along Eakin Creek West on this Sunday afternoon. The temperature was in the mid 20's with a mild wind of 5 8 mph. It was mostly overcast with some sun breaks. The soft lighting during this time made for some nice images of the box elder trees and their reflections onto Eakin Creek West. (685 3442)
