We're not sure what type of beetle this is but he may well be a rare one. Its amazing how the goldsmith has moulded the mount to fit (and given him some swanky gold legs!). His thorax and abdomen are all bug but unusually, his head has been replaced with a gold section which has been enamelled in black with little white flowers. As you do.
