The only instructions on the tube say "for use by the first signs of tiredness" which seems to indicate direct use

There is some faint writing on the backside

It is complete with a little saucer and a diffuser for the hot water

Bahlsen did start marking their tin with "Made in Western Germany" sometime in the 50's so this is from before that because it doesn't have that marking

Original Walther PP Holster AS-IS equipment The only instructions on theOriginal German Walther PP holster. It is in somewhat rough condition, quite heavily worn. The threads on the belt loop are failing, the bottom of the holster has some holes worn through it, and there is a bit of leather glued to the bottom of the closure strap to reinforce it. It would be worth saving but it does need some work.
