Slight wear to the base but generally good condition

Some wear in the central section

Ivory diamond medallion within a dark blue surround and diagonal bands in the spandrels

Akuta underlay A 20th century Kazak rugA delightful 1940s Hamadan rug with the field of boteh motifs on a dark blue ground and floral borders in red and brown on amber or mid blue grounds. Some abrash (colour variation introduced during the weaving) brings a lively feel to the rug. Overall wear with slight loss to ends. The selvedges have been restored by us. 147 x 107cm
