タフネスを追求し進化を続けるG-SHOCKから、耐久性の高い新開発のバンドを採用したNEWモデル「RMSeries(アールエムシリーズ)」が登場。素材(Material)の面で、衝撃に耐える(Resist)性能を追求した新シリーズ。ミズノテクニクス株式会社との共同開発により、引張耐久力に優れるカーボンファイバーを樹脂にインサートすることで切れにくい強靭なバンドを実現。バンド本体だけでなく、ケース結合部分のばね棒周り、美錠周り、遊環などにまでカーボンファイバーをインサートし、細部にまで配慮。裏蓋やサイドボタン、美錠などのメタルパーツにはチタンを採用。裏蓋は鍛造加工を行い、限りなく耐衝撃性・耐久性を追求。また、革新的な技術と軽量な性質を持つチタンの採用により、G-SHOCKで初めて製品総重量が50gを下回り、「47g」を実現。デザインはカーボンファイバーの風合いを活かしてクールに仕上げている。カーボンファイバーの凹凸感が透き通って見えるよう、バンドの表面には透明な樹脂を採用、樹脂のツヤ感がブラックを際立たせ、シャープさを演出。初代G-SHOCKのデザインを受け継ぐ型に最新のテクノロジーを搭載し、更なる耐久性能を備えたNEWモデル。
