Very Nice Mis-Matched Canteen auction It is a lake findA fair example of a late war canteen. It has the perfect look for 1943 45. All of the components are quite nice and in fairly good condition, but none of the parts are from the same maker. The cup is very nice and marked ESB43. The cover is very nice, if a tiny bit to small for the aluminum bottle it is covering and it is made by a rather odd maker R&R. The bottle is aluminum, maker HRE38.
