These are usually named and or baptized for you and your target, though they can also be used in work to draw a new unknown lover. When I select lodestones to form mated pairs for love work, I sort through the lodestones I have in stock and look for those of similar size that have a good strong "pull" towards each other *and* a decent surface area shape on the working edge so that they'll fit together
