Hole size is 2. 25mm. There is beautiful natural variance; some have pale rainbow colors or taupes, grays, pastels and tans depending on the light. (Clearly these are not plastic buttons). Backs are mottled shades of brown. These are slightly thicker than our smaller oval Moonrise MOP buttons, but still thin and lightweight. Sold per
