This item is an antique tea pot manufactured by J&G Meakin in the Gainsborough shape and beautifully decorated in Meakin’s Pilgrim pattern

we were unable to find any information concerning this manufacturer except that the style and design of this silver plated calling card case could be around the 1930’s – 1940’s and is in all likelihood a Sheffield production based on the hallmarked generic version of the EPNS mark

The firm became Barker Bros. in 1885 and in 1907 became Barker Brothers Silversmiths Ltd., using the BBS tradename. In the 1960s they merged with Ellis & Co. and became Barker Ellis Silver Co. Ltd.
