Many of these were sold to Switzerland which is why many people mistake them for Swiss; there are Swiss acceptance markings but they were made in Germany and did see use with the Germany army. This was never issued and shows only a little wear from storage. The shovel handle comes off to better fit into a backpack. I have one of these in my car and have dug myself out
