The thumb screw safety was eliminated from this model of cup to simplify production and probably because it likely did little to make extracting a dud round any safer

It looks like it might have been brush painted black and I think the lower quality of the brushed finish is what's effecting my opinion here more so than the actual condition

There is a little discoloration of the canvas and a small bald spot on the pony fur (this doesn't appear to be deterioration but is more likely an original defect in the material)

all are in good condition
