Glendalough Double Barrel 21yo crisp oak and shortbreadA single grain Irish whiskey, initially matured in ex bourbon barrels before being finished for six months in ex Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 42%. (Bottle size 750ml) Nose: A softer and refrained nose with notes of vanilla, honey and subtle citrus and oak. Palate: Light and soft with vanilla, citrus and ginger spice. A touch of oak towards the end. Not as much sherry influence as expected. Finish: Crisp and cereal like, while being quite grainy.
