The former owner did sew in a giant hook and eye at the waist and he seems to have added extra suspender loops at the back

Unopened box from about 1915-1916

but the material is so full that it is kind of hidden

WAC Enlisted Khaki Hobby Hat Size 21 1/2 WWI The former owner did sewVintage WWII WAAC WAC (Women's Army Corps) khaki Hobby hat. It is marked size 21 1 2. Enlisted. Named to Beulah Page A 700330. The WAC changed from the walking eagle to the standard eagle that was used on men's hats in late summer of 1943. Fairly good condition. There is a small mark on the front and on the side. Some dark spots on the inside of the hat band. The insignia has some oxidation. Some light staining on the sweatband. Slightly misshapen
