This painting is of the road to Banff and Canmore which, when I started this painting, I had just driven down with two friends visiting from BC. It is always amazing to travel through the mountains with someone who has not been before, because you notice things that you otherwise would not. For me, it was the beauty of this view as you come around the bend. It doesn't even matter
