In 2014, Chrissie Lam was on a flight to Moscow when she struck up a conversation with two women who had just met on the plane. She asked them what LOVE meant to them. Inspired by their openness, she shared a photo of them wearing the beaded LOVE bracelet she had designed with Maasai women in Ngong Hills, Kenya. Within six months and 50 countries, Love Is Project was born. Every bracelet is hand beaded by Maasai women
