Sarracenia purpurea subsp. venosa var. burkii 'Chipola Giant' (Chipola River, Florida) Hybrid The pitchers of 'Max Rawlings'Sarracenia purpurea 'Chipola Giant' is a name given to a few clones of giant Sarracenia purpurea subsp. venosa var. burkii (Sarracenia rosea) originating from a single location along the Chipola River in Florida. The plant forms a low, ground hugging rosette. Its pitchers are exceptionally large and broad. The pitchers have a stout, robust appearance. They hold their shape well throughout the growing season. The colouration of mature pitchers is a
